I’m really amazed overall by Perplexity’s Pages feature and the way it drafts out reports-type web pages for you based on any prompt. In any case, we can almost call it that we now have an AI that can conduct research for us.

However, in reality, this is not research but just simple Information Retrieval across the internet and putting it together in one place. Maybe we are still far from a future where AI tools become scientists and conduct research for us.
