Top 10 React Component Libraries

If you aim to create a visually appealing website in less time, I’ve curated a list of React UI components that will make your life easier. These are the ones which I usually use when in a hurry.

1) Material UI

Material UI React Library

Material UI is an extensive open-source React component library that blends Google’s Material Design principles with ready-to-use functionality for production deployment right out of the box.

The library ships with various pre-built components suitable for use in production applications as well as multiple customization options to allow users to seamlessly integrate their components with their design systems

It’s an open-source project that has amassed more than 84K stars on GitHub as of January 2024.

2) Ant Design

Ant Design

Ant Design is a UI library for web apps. It’s designed for enterprises, and this means it has enterprise-grade quality when it comes to components. The components are based on React which makes them very powerful and flexible at the same time. React also helps make them easy to scale.

3) React Bootstrap

React Bootstrap

React Bootstrap replaced the Bootstrap JavaScript. Instead of being dependent on jQuery, each component is now a native React component.

Since being introduced not long ago, React-Bootstrap has become one of the best choices for easy user interface development where it offers amazing UI elements for web and mobile apps as well.

As of January 2024, React Bootstrap has more than 21K stars on GitHub and is getting more than 1.3 million weekly downloads on NPM.

4) Chakra UI

Chakra UI

Chakra UI is another popular UI component library often used by React developers to design components. Similar to the previous three libraries, it is also an open-source project.

The Chakra UI components are built with simplicity, consistent design patterns, and accessibility in mind. All Chakra components are also dark mode compatible, so now we don’t need to worry about the cool dark mode that most of us wanted. There are a total of 52 different components serving various purposes to help you create a great UI in less time.

As of January 2024, it has got 30K+ GitHub stars and 400K+ weekly downloads on NPM.

5) Tailwind CSS

Tailwind CSS

TailwindCSS is a utility-first CSS framework made to quickly create stunning, contemporary websites. Here, what to do is defined by the utility class names. Presumptive CSS properties are included with every utility class.

This is my personal favorite as I can make text bold by just assigning class font-bold. Isn’t super easy but yes sometimes it is hard to remember all these classes but anyway we have Google!

With more than 4 million downloads every week and over 64K stars on GitHub as of January 2024, TailwindCSS is dominating NPM trends.

6) Next UI

Next UI

NextUI is a React UI library designed to assist in creating visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces. It uses Tailwind CSS and React Aria to provide a framework that prioritizes aesthetics and accessibility.

The main objective of NextUI is to simplify development by offering a flexible and visually pleasing system design, ultimately enhancing the overall user experience. It also comes with dark mode accessibility. Now with so many libraries that support the trend of dark mode, we don’t need to worry about the code.

As of January 2024, it has 8K GitHub stars and more than 14K weekly downloads on NPM.

7) React Suite

React Suite

React Suite is a well-liked suite of React UI components designed for middle-tier and back-end product development. It may be configured to switch between Light, Dark, and High Contrast themes, which are built-in features.

More than 50 components, including carousel, calendar, and pagination, are available in React Suite to meet your UI requirements.

React Suite has around 7K GitHub stars and more than 40K weekly downloads on NPM.

8) Semantic UI

Semantic UI

Semantic UI is an open-source framework that helps us to create appealing user interfaces without any piece of code. It uses CSS and JQuery. Apart from the pre-build elements it allows us to customize the components according to our use case

These components are lightweight and optimized for production use so now you can make responsive production-ready user interfaces in no time.
