It correctly recognized the drawing of a Formula 1 car, and also described the functions of the parts of the car when the user zoomed in on that. The memory capabilities are amazing! Even I did not remember all the monuments upon watching the video once.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>3. It also corrected him when he went wrong and told him the correct way to utilize the instrument.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>4. Identifying drawings in real-time<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Conor Grennan, the founder and CEO of AI Mindset, posted a short video of a private testing at the Google event of the Astra project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div align=center><blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-media-max-width=\"560\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">At <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/GoogleIO?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">#GoogleIO<\/a>, we got a private test of Project Astra (not sure I was allowed to film this?). <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/skirano?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">@skirano<\/a> talking to Astra while it identified what it was looking at. Full multimodal, no lag, super smooth. Not just that, but its conversational tone, and ability to modulate voice so organically is so impressive. The experience was fully multimodal with almost no lag!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>6. It identified items like a fish, a seashell, a crab, a spiky gold ball, and a plant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>7. My older brother and girlfriend have 10x more knowledge about plants, how to take care of them, etc, so this is genuinely going to be handy. It described the scientific as well as the common name of plants. While not demonstrated in this video, Astra can also suggest the most useful plants and describe the features of a plant it identifies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>8. Got to take it for a spin around the grounds of <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/GooglelO?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">#GooglelO<\/a> yesterday! <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/nGrFW0GLOv\" target=\"_blank\">pic.twitter.com\/nGrFW0GLOv<\/a><\/p>&mdash; Dave Burke (@davey_burke) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/davey_burke\/status\/1791208323653443700?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">May 16, 2024<\/a><\/blockquote> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Dave Burke, the VP of engineering for Google, took Astra out for a spin to interact with the world around it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Astra held a continuous conversation with Dave while providing information about physics concepts, different cars, and objects it saw around the area at the Google IO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Conclusion<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Keeping in mind that this is the weakest technology will ever be, the capabilities of Astra still feel out of this world! If this is the first edition, imagine what capabilities future versions will have.
